All Party Members in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Ranked

There are seven characters that you can play as in Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth. Each party member plays differently and has their own strengths and weaknesses with which the players can familiarize themselves. With that being said, some are considered better to play than others. The list below goes over every party member in Rebirth and ranks them from best to worst.
Cait Sith
Cait Sith is the most unpredictable member of your party and the latest to join. Not only does he talk with a thick accent that has divided the fanbase, but his combat is hard to grasp. Cait Sith's moves work off of a luck system, including his limit break. While this can be helped by equipping the Lucky Amulet, it doesn't guarantee RNG is going to be on your side. You may completely knock out an enemy, or you may do a low amount of damage if you don't have the luck of the draw.
Chances are high that most players will just opt to use other characters. Even the required sections of the game when you're forced to use Cait Sith are just a little bit less fun than the rest. The strange luck system makes Cait Sith the lowest-ranked character in our All Party Members in Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth, Ranked list.
Barret
Barret is a fun character and has a heartbreaking arc during Rebirth. With that being said, Barret feels all the more powerful for more players during combat. At the start of the game, he is a fantastic ranged option. After Yuffie joins, you may feel that it doesn't work as well during the battle. Unlike Cait Sith, Barret is a reliable character in a pinch. Barret can be great for unleashing a large amount of damage at once and allowing the AI to control for a good portion of the battle.
That said, if you enjoy him, you can absolutely build and play Barret without a problem. Just make sure you look closely at his weapon abilities to ensure you're prepared for your next battle.
Yuffie
Yuffie joins your party a bit later in the game and is fun to play. Yuffie may not be everyone's cup of tea. She's a ninja obsessed with Materia, and this quirk is hammered home over and over again. In combat, she is quite versatile. Yuffie uses a combination of close-range and ranged attacks, making her valuable. She also can easily switch between elements, making her great for strategy. You will need to decide when to use your shuriken for close-range combat, and when to fight up close and personal.
Yuffie is a character you will find yourself using, especially during fights with flying foes. Just make sure you settle on which of her weapon abilities you want to use.
Red XIII
Red XIII is one of your newest party members, and you can start using him in Chapter 2. Red XIII has a special mode called Vengeance mode. Players must block and counter enemies to build the bar. Once it's unleashed, Red XIII can unleash powerful attacks. This can be used in conjunction with his abilities to whittle down enemy health bars quickly.
Outside of battle, he is a stoic character for most of the game. Even after his big reveal later he's still one of the most lovable party members. This makes Red XIII take a middle spot on our All Party Members in Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth, Ranked list.
Aerith
Aerith is one of the most beloved characters of all time. She is a gentle soul who is the game's healer. No other character has the ability to heal the party like Aerith, and she is essential during some tougher boss fights. Aerith doesn't do a lot of damage and only attacks using long-range magic. She isn't particularly tanky, so you will never want to run into battle with her. You really want to focus on filling her limit gauge in case of a needed health crisis.
In the game, Aerith is a sweet individual with one of the most iconic endings in gaming histoShe'she's also seen as a potential love interest to Cloud, causing over a decade of fanbase arguments. While Aerith is a staple, she only takes the third spot on our All Party Members in Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth, Ranked list.
Cloud
Cloud is the main protagonist of Rebirth and one of the most well-known characters in gaming. Cloud is chasing after Sephiroth in the game and is the most serious member of the party. He is the character you spend the most time playing as both in and out of battle. Cloud uses a buster sword and his battle style focuses on heavy attacks and building up his AB to use skills.
While many players find his style a bit difficult at first, he quickly emerges as one of the game's best party members. Investing in Cloud throughout the game is a must. The more you play him, the better the combat feels. It's hard not to give the top spot on this list to Cloud.
Tifa
Tifa is another beloved character who sits just ahead of Cloud. She's a close-range fighter in battle and one of the easiest characters to build synergy with. This is especially true when you use both Tifa and Cloud, which allows you to unleash powerful attacks. Tifa is also easy to use when trying to stun enemies and is one of the most fluid characters to play.
Inside of the game, she's been portrayed as Cloud's main love interest and she's a strong-willed fighter who helps Cloud pull through his darkest moments. Because of this Tifa is the number one party member on our All Party Members in Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth, Ranked list.
