PS5 & Xbox Series X: What Exclusives Released This Year?
Two factions. One purpose. Two dozen exclusives. Just what video games have been released this year for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S? Which of the two has even more in the pipeline for 2022 and beyond, and which library exceeds our expectations overall? These are just a few questions that we tend to ask ourselves every year, with the answers usually swaying between the green and blue divisions.
While the rivalry between Microsoft and Sony continues deep into 2021, fans are left to feast on the spoils of war, able to chew through the dozens of exclusives that get served up every once in awhile. But the question is: which of the two batches is easier on the eye? Well, let's break it down. Here are the exclusives that launched on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S this year, as well as what's to come over the next five or six months.

Clearly, Xbox storms ahead with its vast collection of noteworthy titles this year, while the PS5 falls behind with roughly half the games. But then, with the likes of Deathloop currently on the market, as well as Horizon Forbidden West looming around the corner, two incredibly hyped games for PS5 — Sony are still able to maintain a foothold in the ongoing battle for the most units sold.
