Hello Neighbour 3 is an upcoming launch, meaning the Hello Neighbors series is set to expand and evolve. The third installment was largely unexpected. Many fans expected more patch updates for Hello Neighbor 2, which is still rough around the edges. However, the developers seem to have abandoned the sequel, opting to take the next step in the series’ evolution. Undoubtedly, the sequel’s shortcomings have been instrumental in the decision to create Hello Neighbor 3. So, how will the third installment be similar to or different from the sequel, and will it be better? Here is a comprehensive comparison of Hello Neighbor 2 vs. Hello Neighbor 3

What is Hello Neighbor 2?

YouTube Video

Hello Neighbor 2 is a first-person stealth horror game. It is a sequel to the first Hello Neighbor game and picks up where the original game ended. The game employs the same gameplay mechanics as the original, including stealth exploration and puzzle solving.

This game features several notable improvements over the original. Most notably, it features an open world with more houses to explore and neighbors to investigate. Moreover, it features better graphics and sharper visuals. The puzzles are also more creative and enjoyable. In addition, you have more tools to work with as you explore and investigate.

However, the game also suffers a few shortcomings. Most notably, the plot doesn’t seem well thought out, and the narrative disconnect is evident throughout the game. Interestingly, the story doesn’t have an ending and leaves many questions unanswered. Moreover, the controls are sloppy, making performing actions like picking and throwing items frustrating. Ultimately, the game suffers from overall poor execution.

What is Hello Neighbor 3?

YouTube Video

Hello Neighbor 3 is an adventure-horror game and has been described as cozy but eerie. It is currently under active development and was recently announced at the end of the animated series’ season 2 finale. It will be the third installment in the Hello Neighbor series.

While Hello Neighbor 3 is still in active development, the official announcement included enough details to paint a clear picture of what to expect. Notably, it will be based on the original game’s overall concept and gameplay mechanics. It will even be set in the same town and based on the same open-world design as Hello Neighbor 2

In addition to the similarities with the first and second games, Hello Neighbor 3 will feature a few improvements. It will be designed as a sandbox adventure simulated in real time. Moreover, there will be more characters with richer personalities and more involvement in the goings-on. Most notably, you can make diverse decisions when working towards dynamic objectives.

Story

Storyline

Notably, the story in Hello Neighbor 2 is a continuation of the original game’s story. You are Quentin, an investigative journalist investigating cases of missing children in Raven Brooks. Someone you know, Mr. Peterson, is kidnapping children, and you must break into his house and several other houses to find damning evidence against him. Interestingly, this is not your first encounter with the kidnapper. You are the same person who investigated him in the original game, but several years have passed, and you are all grown up. Moreover, you ended up as one of his victims, and you still struggle with PTSD from the ordeal. As such, you have a personal interest in solving the disappearances and uncovering Mr. Peterson as the kidnapper. Notably, the story in this game doesn’t have a definite ending.

The story in Hello Neighbor 3 is closely similar to the first two games’ stories, though with a few twists and turns. You arrive at Raven Brooks as a stranger without connections to the small town. You find the town half-abandoned, with half of the houses uninhabited. Moreover, the remaining residents have varying desires, relations, and goals, which can be good or bad. Everyone is weary of the new guy, and everything you do will affect the town and alter the course of events.

Character

Hello Neighbor 2 vs. Hello Neighbor 3

The protagonist in Hello Neighbor 2 is the same main player in the original game. However, he is all grown up, with several years having passed. Moreover, he now works as an investigative journalist. Mr. Peterson, the kidnapper in the original game, is also the main antagonist in the sequel. The game also features other characters.

The protagonist in Hello Neighbor 3 is a newcomer to the town. The game also features various other familiar characters from the previous games, including Mr. Peterson. Other characters will include Jacob and Iris. It will also feature several bizarre characters, including Signed (with a road sign for a head) and Coned (with a cone for a head).

Gameplay

Gameplay to the Games

The gameplay mechanics in Hello Neighbor 2 are based on the original game’s mechanics, which entail stealth exploration and solving puzzles. You must be stealthy when breaking into houses and snooping around to avoid getting caught. Interestingly, you can hide in closets and behind objects if you arouse suspicion. You must also solve puzzles to proceed through some stages and achieve your objectives. The puzzles are creative and can be difficult to solve.

Hello Neighbor 3 will incorporate the first two games’ gameplay mechanics, including stealth exploration and puzzle solving. Moreover, it will introduce several new exciting gameplay features built on Unreal Engine 5.  First, the town will be a sandbox, meaning you can craft items and manipulate certain aspects of the environment to suit your needs. Moreover, you can make multiple decisions as you try to achieve your objectives, and every decision is right. Additionally, it is simulated in real-time, meaning that your choices have immediate and dynamic effects on the residents and unfolding events.

Verdict

Verdict on the Games

Hello Neighbor 3 will hopefully be a better and improved version of the first two games. It will retain the series’ core concept and gameplay mechanics while introducing new gameplay features and an evolving story. Built on Unreal Engine 5, it will feature better gameplay mechanics and sharper visuals.

Buckle up, RC enthusiasts — Casual Brothers, an indie  game studio known for its third-party collaborations, has just announced its plans to launch a fresh karting chapter for consoles and PC. Aptly titled Hot Rod Mayhem, the game will reportedly feature a familiar “formula” that will allow players to embark upon a collection of different offline and cooperative game modes. And that’s barely scratching the surface.

In an effort to learn more about the studio’s upcoming game, I decided to reach out to two of its torchbearers, Fco “Xavi” Espejo (Producer), and Carlos Martin (COO).

Hot Rod Mayhem is absolutely bursting at the seams with all sorts of asphalt-smitten pandemonium, and we’re all for it! With that said, it appears that there’s still a lot that we don’t know about the upcoming racing game. So, enlighten us, if you’d be so kind. What is Hot Rod Mayhem, in a nutshell?

First, thank you for your interest. We're a tiny studio making most of our work for 3rd parties and we don’t have many chances to auto publish stuff like with Hot Rod Mayhem. So this is a joy of an opportunity for us!

Our way to define Hot Rod Mayhem and our reasons to create this game, was to create a Kart Racing game where players go through wild, alive tracks and having fun with friends in both competitive and cooperative modes. It’s the Kart formula up there that we all love, but where putting the fun and uniqueness in the lively circuits, the immediate fun physics and the challenging cooperative focus of the Campaign.

Our Hot Rods are tiny RC like cars, and the tracks do reflect the scale. Do you imagine going through a dinosaur theme park where dinosaurs are chasing humans crossing the road and you need to skip their feet? Race over a futuristic city where android peasants don't care about stepping on you? The list goes on by racing over different crazy themes such as Space Station under an alien attack, a ghostly Halloween house, a wild farm filled with animals and machinery, etc.

The dangers ahead on our wild tracks, the fine tuned controls with drifting techniques and the smart usage of items, makes the fun clearly a Mayhem!

Let’s talk some more about the modes that’ll feature in Hot Rod Mayhem—Campaign and RacingWhat’s the difference between the two, if you don’t mind me asking?

We call Campaign to our core challenge of our title. It’s designed so players, alone or with their friends, complete the trials and win the championships that unlock new circuits and customizable content to keep the title fresh. There are 3 difficulties that help in accessing the gameplay, but of course Hard it’s going to be a challenge and we expect players to play with friends to succeed, and you’ll need to complete it to unlock all the content we have in the game.

Racing mode, on the other hand, allows for more flexible gameplay, whether it’s a quick race, multiplayer showdown, or free exploration of the game’s content and tracks. Campaign is about progression, while Racing is about instant fun.

You’ve briefly spoken about ten different tournaments, all of which will reportedly include a “unique trial” and a set of  “tricky” challenges. Would you mind telling us a bit more about these cups and the challenges that they’ll introduce to the circuit?

Campaign keeps the progress of our players on the championships at Hot Rod Mayhem, where players have to beat a trial to unlock each championship and then go to compete with all the legendary CPU driven characters that may not play fair in the higher difficulties. Each Championship unlocks new content and championships, with new trials to overcome. These are the tricky trials that push your skills to the limit. For example, a challenge might involve navigating a track while avoiding obstacles or environmental hazards like sudden traps. These championships are designed to keep the experience fresh and unpredictable, requiring adaptability and quick thinking.

YouTube Video

You’ve also touched base on “signature styles” and other customizable elements that will be available to the public. Please could you tell us about these styles, as well as what sorts of upgrades, abilities, and cosmetics we will have access to over the duration of our racing journey?

In Hot Rod Mayhem, while you can’t change the Hot Rods parameters themselves, each vehicle comes with its own unique properties that define its playstyle, even though you can choose from a range of textures to fit your tastes on each car.

The customization focuses on the drivers aesthetics, letting you personalize their appearance, gear, and even their unique style to match your personality. This approach ensures a strong connection between players and their racers while maintaining the balance of the vehicles’ core attributes. Whether you prefer speed, control, or chaos, there’s a driver style for you!

We would certainly appreciate a few quick pro tips while we have you here with us today. Any words of advice for those who might be interested in picking up a copy of Hot Rod Mayhem?

In Hot Rod Mayhem, we have a satisfactory drifting technique that pro players are going to love, and that will set the difference between experts and newbies. Of course, always keep an eye out for track shortcuts—they can make the difference in a tight race, but more than this, be aware of the dangers that the living things bring into the Mayhem. Don’t underestimate the power of environmental awareness—knowing when and where to boost or drop an item can win you the race.

Hot Rod Mayhem brings items and power ups to use during gameplay, like many other kart games does, it’s key to learn to use them strategically; for instance, the star gives you turbo but doesn’t drive for you, so timing is crucial.

Would you mind if we asked where Hot Rod Mayhem is in regards to its ongoing development? Are we edging a little closer towards the checkered flag, or are we still a fair ways from seeing it on the track?

The game is in its polishing stage. The tracks, items, and mechanics are in place, and the team is focused on optimizing the gameplay experience and ensuring all modes, from Campaign to Racing, run seamlessly across platforms. While it’s not quite at the finish line, the team is closing the gap.

How can we stay up to date with Hot Rod Mayhem and other upcoming projects in the Casual Brothers catalog? Are there any important social handles, newsletters, or event details that we should know about?

We have been pretty silent up to this point, but it seems that Hot Rod Mayhem is leveraging our needs to post about news. Please, follow Casual Brothers on YouTube and on our website (currently WIP). We will try to post some news there as we will share on the usual gaming channels.

Would you like to add any final comments to this thread before we go ahead and close the book?

We are very thankful for your support and the support we are receiving from people all around the world. Hot Rod Mayhem is shaping up to be an opportunity for us, from people that love the art direction to people that are interested in the crazy gameplay we are offering, thank you!

We’re thrilled to bring Hot Rod Mayhem to life and can’t wait for players to experience the chaos, competition, and creativity it offers. Whether you’re here for the racing or the customization, there’s something for everyone. Buckle up—it’s going to be a wild ride!

Thank you so much for your time!

You can find more information on Hot Rod Mayhem by visiting the official website here. You can also add the game to your wishlist on Steam for additional updates and pre-launch coverage here.

Rhythm games have been a hoot in the gaming world for a long time and are still rising in popularity. From classic titles like Guitar Hero to PaRappa the Rapper and HarmoKnight, they are known for keeping gamers engaged for hours. Rhythm games seemingly follow a general pattern. However, solo developer Andrew Gaubatz managed to spice things up with his new game Steel Century Groove. It combines rhythm and RPG game elements. Published by Sloth Gloss Games, this title is already receiving astounding reviews on its design. In this article, we discuss everything we know about Steel Century Groove

What Is Steel Century Groove?

Steel Century Groove

Steel Century Groove is an exciting mix of rhythm and RPG that will bring a fresh perspective to the gaming world. It portrays an unexpected twist on the robot-battling genre. You would essentially expect robots to be war machines created to scour the planet, ridding it of evil. However, in this post-apocalypse world, humanity no longer has a reason to use war machines to prevent the end of the world. Instead, they decide to repurpose these bots and use them for a different kind of battle, dance battles.

Players pilot steel monsters from their cockpit. They get to explore an amazing world full of musical adventures. You can create a team of different Lanzers with their dance routines to battle rivals. The goal is to become the world’s next dance champion. In this role-playing match, gamers enjoy the freedom of custom dance moves and music in addition to those already provided by the game.

Story

Story of the Game

The title tells a story filled with humor, charm, and heart. It begins in a modern cityscape thousands of years ago, where humans built powerful war machines to help them stop the apocalypse. Now with the war being won and the world reeling from a legacy of war, these war machines have already served their purpose. Rather than dispose of them, humans decided to use these machines to battle each other in dance competitions. These giant machines now roam the planet, and the worst you can expect from them would probably be a noise complaint when they strike up their dance battles.

Gamers taking on the challenges must assemble a squad of mecha dancers to participate in the competitions. You challenge every foe you come across and compete for a championship trophy. Instead of wrecking each other, these majestic machines can utilize their unique moves to produce a winning combo. You uncover the secrets of a world where everything moves to the sound of feet made of steel.

Gameplay

The Gameplay

In Steel Century Groove’s gameplay, you assemble a squad of skilled mechanical dancers and transcend through a magical musical adventure. On your journey, you take on rivals in dance battles and compete for the championship trophy. The dance battles get intense on a large scale as players groove to the many soundtracks in the game. Unlike typical rhythm games, Steel Century Groove does not require a specific button press sequence for each musical note. Rather, players have the mandate to select the best moves to defeat their opponents. You press buttons with good timing in order to showcase an amazing set of moves. Each mech embodies a unique set of moves with its mechanics and resources.

Steel Century Groove has different war machines with unique skill sets. Players up their levels when they win the dance battles, earning them points as they step up the victory ladder. Moreover, they can combine a team of different war machines to craft dance routines. The combos give them a better chance of competing for the ultimate prize.

A simple starter mech builds and spends energy. However, later mechs will have you maintaining an army of drones or swapping between cards in a mini deck builder. You can customize your character to suit your needs best and explore all corners of the post-apocalyptic world. Steel Century Groove offers you a free-form dance battle, a set of unique mech builds, and the option to add your soundtrack. All that, plus the promise of a mysterious post-apocalyptic world, is exactly the kind of thrill gamers anticipate. You get to dance your way through an exciting world with the perfect mecha crew and turn your humble beginnings into ultimate fame.

Development

Steel Century Groove

The solo indie developer Andrew Gaubatz is the creator of the new rhythm RPG game, Steel Century Groove. In the game, players take control of giant mechs and use them to compete in dance battles. You dive into a trivial journey from your seemingly small hometown to the big city championship. Along the way, you challenge every rival you encounter as you compete for the coveted trophy. Steel Century Groove has been in development for three years, and the announcement for its release was made only recently. It is designed for a gamepad, mouse, and keyboard. The title promises fun and adventure as players ride through this musical rollercoaster.

Trailer

YouTube Video

The trailer depicts a visually appealing world overrun by robots and humans. It is a world full of intense sounds coming from all directions. The machines were built for war, but in this post-apocalyptic world, they battle in dance instead. It begins with an amazing display of a hoard of war machines flying through a beautiful bachdrop that is beaming with rhythm. They land on a dance stage where they bust out an amazing display of dance moves to a catchy tune playing in the background. Players pilot these robots in intense dance-offs on a massive scale, competing for points.

Release Date and Time

Release Dates

Solo indie developer Sloth Gloss Games has set a release date for its new rhythm-RPG title Steel Century Groove, in which you pilot mecha in dance battles. Notably, the game is set to debut sometime in 2025. In addition, Steel Century Groove is to be released on the Windows PC (via Steam) platform.

In addition, the game allows players to combine poker hands with distinct Joker cards to craft strategic synergies and builds. Lastly, earning enough chips will help defeat blinds and uncover hidden bonus cards and decks as the game progresses.

3. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

The game has a lot of nominations, including in the key Game Direction, Performance, and Narrative categories. Square Enix developed this action role-playing game in 2024 after the Final Fantasy VII Remake developed in 2020. The game embodies the features of its predecessors, which combine real-time action with proper strategy and role-playing elements.

In the game, you take control of a mercenary named Cloud Strife. He is in liaison with other characters who make up the eco-terrorist group Avalanche. They all embark on a journey across the planet, trying to prevent a megacorporation named Shrina from draining their source of energy, the Lifestream. 2. Metaphor: ReFantazio

The Gifted Boy

Atlus’ Studio Zero’s popularity rose after their game Persona 5 got nominated for GOTY and won Best RPG in 2017. Now with their amazing game, Metaphor: ReFantazio, that has a metascore of 94, they stand a chance to walk away with another award at the Game Awards 2024. The game is Atlus’ Studio Zero's fastest-selling game so far and has six nominations in the Game Awards. It is second to Astro Bot and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

The role-playing medieval fantasy game is set in the United Kingdom of Euchronia. Its story reflects the contemporary world and is set after the assassination of its former king. The prince of the land was cursed during an earlier attempt on his life, plunging him into a long slumber. The protagonist is an orphan named Will, who is of the magic-wielding Elda tribe. Will embarks on a journey across Euchronia to gather the support of its people.  Additionally, he participates in a royal tournament to determine the throne's next successor. He does all this while still trying to find a way to lift the curse that befell his friend, the prince.

1. Astro Bot

Leading Game in the 2024 Game Awards

With a Metascore of 94, this platformer game connected many critics and fans like no other game this year. The main attraction to this game lies in the quality of its making. Every minute spent playing Astro Bot feels extremely satisfying and unforgettable for gamers. In the gameplay, you control a small robot as he courses across platforms, saving other bots, fighting off enemies, and solving puzzles. It features over 90 levels extending across 6 galaxies and 60 planets.

The levels are designed to offer a unique experience in each one. An example is how players can control night and day in one level, changing the entire layout. Similarly, in another, players can shrink down to a tiny mouse and see the layout from a different perspective. At seven nominations, Astro Bot ties with Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth as the most-nominated game. However, with a statistical analysis between the two, Astro Bot stands a better chance of taking home the gold.

Therefore, with its mix of cozy activities and real-time combat, Call of Elyndra promises to be an engaging adventure game. That said, here’s a look at everything we know about the game.

Farming in Call of Elyndra is more than a side activity. Players will be entrusted with a plot of land to cultivate, growing crops like tomatoes and cucumbers, raising livestock, and fishing. Each environment presents unique challenges and opportunities, rewarding exploration with resources, allies, and story progression.

Building relationships is a key part of the gameplay. Forming bonds with villagers unlocks farming power-ups and allows them to join you in combat. These relationships grow over time, reflecting your role as both a farmer and a hero.

Activities in the game

Call of Elyndra is being developed and published by Quorum Games, an indie studio with a passion for combining storytelling and innovative gameplay. The game aims to bridge two beloved genres: cozy farming simulation and action RPG, setting it apart from typical farming games.

The developers have drawn inspiration from classics like Stardew Valley and old-school Zelda games. However, they aim to craft something that feels fresh and distinct. The goal is to deliver a game where farming, adventuring, and community-building feel equally essential.

The developers have shared glimpses of the game through an announcement trailer and community updates. While the trailer remains a work in progress, it highlights vibrant visuals, diverse landscapes, and engaging gameplay elements. The studio has been actively refining the game's mechanics and ensuring that both farming and combat feel polished and enjoyable.

Sing with me: “Care Bears Countdown! 4, 3, 2, 1!” If the new game includes the classic theme song, I’ll be happy. The Care Bears family has long been a source of joy for many. It’s a warm and fuzzy animation series whose many bears graced our screens back in the ‘80s. And yet, the Care Bears remain an internet sensation, spanning several game adaptations, among them the upcoming game. We don’t quite yet have all the information on the story and gameplay for the new game, even though the release date is engraved in stone and fast approaching. Still, we’ve scoured online for all the information we can find. Here’s everything we know about Care Bears: Unlock the Magic so far.

What is Care Bears: Unlock the Magic?

grumpy

Care Bears: Unlock the Magic is an upcoming adventure platformer game. It’ll, as the name suggests, feature the Care Bears from the 80’s animation series. This means you’ll have the chance to play as your favorite bears, from Cheer Bear, Bedtime Bear, Tenderheart Bear, and many more from Care-A-Lot. There’s also some form of story you’ll be unraveling, although it doesn’t seem quite as profound. Generally, the game intends to compile different arcade games where you choose a Care Bear and play with your friends.

Story

minigame

In the source material, you follow the adventures of the Care Bears who leave their home in Care-A-Lot to bring joy and happiness to the folks over at Silver Lining. They meet the Whiffles and shower them with harmony. However, the naughty Bluster and his gang of minions pose a threat to the bears. Care Bears: Unlock the Magic seems to follow a somewhat similar story, albeit seemingly very simple and straightforward. You’ll be playing arcade games to gain Star Power, which you’ll use to disperse the Storm Clouds descending over Silver Lining. You’ll also meet with the quirky Whiffles, who further enrich your journey. All the while, you’re embarking on a journey through a magical road that ends with a “lovely surprise.”

Gameplay

Care Bears: Unlock the Magic

Care Bears: Unlock the Magic plans to feature lots of arcade minigames, some of which you may already have played before. Initially, you choose Cheer Bear or either of her friends to embark on a delightful journey. These include Bedtime Bear, Tenderheart Bear, and more, who are also a part of the roster from Care-A-Lot. Being an adventure game, you’ll progress through a barebones story that takes you across over 200 levels. The levels will provide a mix of a dozen unique minigames, all set in the whimsical world of The Care Bears Family. It seems you’ll be collecting items or rewards called Star Power, which disperse the Storm Clouds hovering over Silver Lining. You’ll also meet lots of quirky characters, including the Whiffles. Eventually, you’ll wrap up your playthrough at the end of the magical adventure, having uncovered a lovely surprise.

At its core, Care Bears: Unlock the Magic is an arcade game that compiles several minigames, all themed and drawing inspiration from classic arcade favorites. You’ll play games similar to Cross the Rainbow, Lost Whiffle, Care Bubbles, and more. Lastly, progressing through the game will allow you to fill an art book. You’ll do so by unlocking stickers, which come in all shapes and sizes. The stickers have unique art and represent the bears from the Care Bears: Unlock The Magic show. Can you collect all the stickers?

Maximum Entertainment is the lead developer and publisher for the upcoming Care Bears: Unlock the Magic game. The studio is based in Stockholm, Sweden, and it has experience working on indie to AA games. They’ve so far been launching projects based on “original content and licensed partnerships.” Some of the games Maximum Entertainment has worked on include Soulstice, Squirrel with a Gun, Until Then, Smalland: Survive the Wilds, and more. You can also look forward to their upcoming releases, including Bye Sweet Carole, Projekt Z: Beyond Order, Overthrown, and more.

With lots of projects underway, Maximum Entertainment sure has a lot of work cut out for them. Still, they’ve launched a reveal trailer and posted screenshots of the new game on their website. The gameplay seems simple enough, with wonderfully colorful palettes for a family-friendly venture.

YouTube Video

Care Bears: Unlock the Magic’s reveal trailer is out now, free to watch at your own time. As you might expect, it’s utterly whimsical, with a catchy tune and a blissfully colorful world. This is a family-friendly game that may be more inclined to a younger audience. Still, older gamers may enjoy lots of fun and relaxation from it. In the video, you see the bears that you will be able to control in the final game. Your job is to guide them across simple puzzles and platforms.

There seems to be a good variety of minigames you can play. So, it may be a matter of finding your guilty pleasure. It’s pretty easy to imbalance in these types of games. Some minigames could be too simple than others. Some may have better rewards. With over 200 levels to go through, Maximum Entertainment has their work cut out for them to create minigames that are engaging through to the end. It could also be made replayable with friends and family if an online multiplayer option were made available.

The creators of The Room are preparing to launch a new spooky VR game. And fans couldn’t be more excited. The trailer already shows good promise, as is the overall concept for the upcoming game. Fireproof Games have already proven themselves to be highly creative in coming up with engaging puzzles. Perhaps the same level of ingenuity will go into the new game, in addition to the immersive nature of virtual reality. Here’s everything we know so far about Ghost Town.

What is Ghost Town?

Ghost Town: Everything We Know

Ghost Town is an upcoming single-player VR puzzle adventure game. It’ll take you to London in 1983, following a ghost hunter named Edith Penrose. She’s been the go-to exorcist and ghost hunter of the town, which, having been named a ghost town, must be rampant with lots of deadly spirits. However, trouble hits close to home when Penrose’s brother disappears. And now, she must muster her ghost-hunting skills and knowledge of the paranormal to uncover the mystery behind his disappearance and bring him back home.

Story

guy with flash light

Ghost Town is an actual town plagued by supernatural wonders. Its story is about the mysterious disappearance of your brother. Thankfully, your job has been working as a ghost hunter in a paranormal detective agency, which you manage with your flatmate. Of late, you’ve been busy solving cases that have helped pay the bills. Steam also mentions dealing with some “ghosts in your bathroom mirror,” which have become less haunting.

Tables turn, though, when your brother goes missing. So, you set out chasing leads that lead you down even more twisted paths. You enlist the help of other professionals, one of which is a gifted clairvoyant based in a remote Scottish island. And with each step into the unknown, you uncover damning secrets and mysteries, culminating in a captivating adventure.

Gameplay

Office

As a single-player VR puzzle adventure game, exploration will be at the center stage of your gameplay. You’ll take advantage of virtual reality to explore various areas in the first person. These will all be steeped in an alluring atmospheric vibe. Mechanically, you’ll use your controller and carry a torch to see through the dark.

While exploring, Ghost Town will introduce new characters. Some will be alive from the real world and reveal new information about the story. Others, however, will be dead spirits that add compelling secrets that further explain the hauntings that have been occurring.

The Room fans will be happy to know that there will be puzzles to solve, likely just as intricate and engaging. This time, you’ll use your hands' dexterity to break out of tactile puzzles. Additionally, you can also cast spells and even summon restless spirits to transition them from the real world into the afterlife.

Key Features

Among the features you can expect include:

  • Virtual realityGhost Town plans to deliver an atmospheric trip down an authentic sense of realism and intricate puzzles to solve.
  • Diverse locations – Lots of exciting locations await discovery and exploration.
  • Compelling story – You’ll unravel a rich story complete with exciting characters to interact with.

Developer Fireproof Games is currently working on Ghost Town. They’ll be publishing the game, too, once it's ready. You probably know the studio from their highly successful work in The Room series. It’s an escape room puzzle game that first hit iOS platforms and became an instant hit. Since then, the studio has released five titles that have all received mostly positive reviews.

Fireproof Games itself is a small indie studio operating out of Guildford, UK. The studio has been working on Ghost Town for the past four years now. It’s great that the studio has taken the time to work on a new franchise. Hopefully, the final product will be just as good as The Room or possibly even surpass its praises.

Trailer

YouTube Video

Check out Ghost Town’s official teaser trailer, which was launched on YouTube. Right off the bat, the visuals stand out. Fireproof has really outdone itself, crafting a deeply spooky and atmospheric environment. The trailer is also well done, building on suspense and mystery to an invigorating close.

You’re operating your ghost-hunting business from the premises of a particularly impatient landlord. And when the landlord can’t take any more of the haunting noises and creepy sounds coming from your flat, he gives you a piece of his mind. But you have bigger fish to fry with some nightmarish creatures emerging from your bathroom wall.

Overall, the graphics are fantastic in capturing an eerie and atmospheric vibe. They seem to dwell more on the spooky front than the horrific extreme. It’s also unclear at the moment what kind of puzzles you’ll be solving. Still, the trailer is an excellent first look at what’s to come, and we can’t wait for even more updates ahead of the launch.

In the meantime, you can always add the game to your wishlist, either via Steam, PlayStation, or Meta Quest. That way, you can receive a notification as soon as the game drops.

Similarly, Fireproof confirms the upcoming game will be a virtual reality title that will launch on Meta Quest 1 and 2, PlayStation VR 2, and Steam VR. As for the editions, they remain under wraps for now. Yet you can always keep track of new announcements on the official social media handle here while also checking out updates on the game’s website here.

After a long wait, the new sequel to the mystery-solving adventure game, Prison Princess, is finally complete. Qureate announced their new game, Prison Princess: Trapped Allure, which is set to debut this year on November 21st. Players immerse themselves in a thrilling adventure as they guide the princesses away from the monstrous demon king. Like its prequel, you embody a protagonist who is a ghost who died during a battle with the demon king, Hamehameha. Despite being a ghost, you attempt to lead the princesses and your friends out of the demon king’s castle. The article below discusses everything we know about Prison Princess: Trapped Allure.

What is Prison Princess: Trapped Allure?

Prison Princess: Trapped Allure

This is a puzzle-solving adventure game where you guide princesses in a quest to escape the clutches of the demon king. The protagonist is a ghost who died in a battle with the demon king. As a ghost, he teams up with a new princess, Julietta, whom he encounters in the king’s castle. Together, they embark on a journey solving puzzles and working to rescue the protagonist's friends, Charlotte the Knight, Finanche the Wizard, Chouquette the Bandit, and princesses, Aria and Zena, held prisoner in the castle. Their quest is full of danger and they must remain vigilant to succeed.

Story

Prison Princess: Trapped Allure

Maygard, under the rule of two great kingdoms, was once beaming with happiness and prosperity. However, they had no idea that their happiness would soon become a thing of the past. Hamehameha, a ruthless Demon King and wielder of great magical power attacked the kingdom, turning the once mighty land to ruin. The demon king's forces took over, and humanity gradually lost their ground, rendering them helpless and weak. As with all great stories, a hero arises, ready to battle the demon king and save humanity from her clutches. Together with new allies and two princesses, the hero embarks on a dangerous quest to obtain a sacred relic. It is rumored that the relic can vanquish demons.

Unfortunately, the hero and the rest of the cast meet an untimely demise in a surprise attack by the Demon King. The hero breathes his last breath as the rest of the party gets captured. The world seems to descend into darkness with the demon king having the upper hand in the battle for humanity. In his last moments, the hero extends his arm towards his captured party members. As he does this, he hears a voice in the darkness pleading for help. The hero is drawn to the voice and encounters Julietta. The demon king has imprisoned a princess from a faraway in his castle. They quickly become allies, led by their desire to flee from the castle. The two agree to work together to rescue the hero’s party while simultaneously trying to escape from the castle.

Gameplay

Princess Trapped

In a fight for humanity's freedom, the protagonist along with his trusted allies lost the battle to the demon king. The demon king took the hero's allies as hostages and scattered them throughout the castle. In this game, the goal is to help the princesses and the protagonist's allies escape from the demon king's castle. Moreover, you have to be vigilant so as not to get distracted by the inhumane positions your allies have been placed in. You have to look for items and hints that can be used to rescue them and the world.

As the protagonist, you have no physical body, so you need help searching for traps or solving puzzles on your journey. That's where the princess Julietta comes in. You control her by guiding her through the castle and helping her solve puzzles that will lead you to the prisoners. A player's choices in Prison Princess: Trapped Allure directly impacts the fates of the princesses. Players have to identify any suspicious areas and guide the princesses to check them out. The princesses will search that location and uncover any hints or items that will help you in your quest.

You will use the hints and items you discover to solve the puzzles that obscure your path to freedom. Prison Princess: Trapped Allure ultimately tests your wit and resourcefulness, so it is important to have a good winning strategy. Don't let the beautiful maidens around you distract you and keep you off the goal. Upon rescuing your party, they need to rest up to recover from the torment they've been through. You are tasked with setting up a tent in the middle of a magic circle that wards off monsters.

Development

The Development to Prison Princess: Trapped Allure

Prison Princess: Trapped Allure is an exciting adventure game that will immerse players in a dangerous quest to save humanity. The game being an adult-oriented mystery-solving adventure is seemingly difficult to enjoy publicly. Luckily, it has received multiple upgrades from its prequel that make it better and more comfortable to play. Its configuration menu now includes a sensitive mode that when turned on, covers up the party members’ precious parts. Players can toggle the mode on and off at any time during gameplay. Players can enjoy streaming and video sharing on social media accounts without worrying about getting banned when activated.

Trailer

YouTube Video

The trailer to the game Prison Princess: Trapped Allure showcases the cast of the game in the demon king's castle. The demon king defeats the protagonist in battle, killing him and capturing his allies. Still determined to win, the hero’s spirit lives on to fight the battle against the demon king. In this sequel, the Hero joins forces with a new princess he encounters in the demon castle. They team up and crack multiple puzzles, revealing items and tips that will help them in their quest to free the hero's allies and escape the castle.

Hello Neighbor 2 is still rough around the edges. This series has so much potential from the overly successful Hello Neighbor. The jokes, the horror, the stealth, every part of the gameplay was just so creatively put together. Then the sequel came, and well, it left us with mixed emotions, hoping that the developers could somehow redeem themselves in patch updates.

While the answer from the devs isn’t finishing the sequel or releasing a patch fix, it seems they’ve decided to work on Hello Neighbor 3 instead. The developers seem to have a specific direction in which they want to take the series, and launching a third title seems to be the next step. So, before we get ourselves up in arms, let’s take a look at everything we know about Hello Neighbor 3 below.

What is Hello Neighbor 3?

smiley

Hello Neighbor 3 is an upcoming adventure game that aims to find the perfect balance between cozy and horror. It’ll be the third title in the Hello Neighbor series. According to Steam, you can expect to make different decisions that take you on alternate paths. However, every path you take will be the “right” one. All the while, you’ll be breaking into houses and performing all sorts of actions that lead to making exciting discoveries.

The upcoming game will be set in Raven Brooks, where you’ll explore the town and the neighboring houses. The town has been abandoned by half of its population, leaving the remaining residents with the power to manipulate the town's fate. Also, your actions will be simulated and will occur in real-time.

Story

trees

Hello Neighbor 3 takes place in a half-abandoned town called Raven Brooks. Your protagonist, however, is a new arrival in the town. You find citizens who have built relationships with one another. They are driven by varying desires and ideas. Onward, you’ll begin to perform various actions that will influence the events in the town. In time, your influence will dramatically shift the fate of Raven Brooks.

Gameplay

staircase

Thanks to Steam, we can look forward to the following key features in the final game.

  • Simulation: Hello Neighbor 3 is a sandbox adventure, meaning you have the freedom to walk around and explore the world however you like. The environments and actions you take will be simulated in real time. Moreover, you’ll meet different citizens who all behave uniquely based on their lives and personalities.
  • Decision-making: Apparently, every decision you make will be the “right” one. However, the game will use a system where your choices will really branch out into complex objectives and ways to fulfill them.
  • Cozy and horror adventure: You’ll explore a cozy but eerie half-abandoned town in early spring. Despite its scarce population, memories abound here.

Development

car

Nikita Kolesnikov, in partnership with tinyBuild, is currently working on Hello Neighbor 3. He’s the creator of the series. However, Nikita will be working with a small team of developers on the new game while also adhering to the development approach of the first game.

The first game was a blast, and lots of gamers really enjoyed playing it. However, Hello Neighbor 2 fell flat on its face. It does have potential; it just suffered from too many problems, from broken promises to poor execution. As a result, it made more sense to iron out the issues in the sequel. Instead, we’re getting a new game. Hopefully, the developers can learn from their mistakes and create a complete and worthwhile product.

Trailer

YouTube Video

Hello Neighbor 3 has no trailer out yet. However, we do have the first Devlog out on YouTube. This served as the official announcement that the third title in the series is in development. In the video, Nikita Kolesnikov walks us through the ideation and prototyping phase for the upcoming game. He reveals how he initially wanted to develop a competitive online multiplayer game before tossing the idea out for a cooperative option.

In the competitive play, the idea was to invade other players’ houses, steal their stuff and use them to reinforce your own. While an interesting idea, the devs shifted to cooperative, where your team works against AI. AI isn’t a new concept in the series, with the neighbor in the sequel controlled by one. However, the implementation wasn’t all too great.

Finally, the devs landed on the idea that you find yourself in Raven Brooks, a town nearly desolate. Suddenly, strange events begin to happen that you can choose to become involved with or not. Meanwhile, the characters in the game also adapt to your choices. There will be future devlogs, which dive deeper into the development progress, as well as the upcoming game’s environment and atmosphere. Right now, the devs are in the prototyping stage, so there is likely still a long way to go.

Release Date, Platforms, & Editions

Hello Neighbor 3: Everything We Know

Hello Neighbor 3’s release date is yet to be announced. We’ve only just received the first Devlog diary, which doesn’t give us any hint of when we might be getting our hands on the game. So, if you want to keep track of the launch, you can add the game to your Steam wishlist to receive a notification as soon as it drops.

At the moment, we can only confirm PC devices as the only platform on which the upcoming game will launch. The second game in the series launched on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms. Meanwhile, the first game launched on all major platforms, including iOS and Android. So, it’s possible the upcoming game will also be ported over to more platforms in the future.

As for editions, it’s way too early to say whether there’ll be any available for preorder. With a few details still in the wind, you can always follow the official social handle here to keep track of new updates.

So, what’s your take? Will you be grabbing a copy of Hello Neighbor 3 when it drops? Let us know over on our socials here.

Capcom and TiMi Studios recently announced Monster Hunter Outlanders. Interestingly, the game comes as Capcom works on the next main addition to the series: Monster Hunter Wilds. However, that has not eclipsed this new title, which promises an exciting range of features. While Outlanders sounds like yet another addition to the MonHun mobile-based series, it will be one of the most ambitious mobile games yet. Here is a comprehensive preview of everything you need to know about Monster Hunter Outlanders

What is Monster Hunter Outlanders?

Monsters Hunters Outlander

Monster Hunter Outlanders is an upcoming addition to the MonHun mobile-based games. It has been touted as the most ambitious of all other mobile-based MonHun games. Notably, it is the first fully open-world Monster Hunter game designed exclusively for mobile. In addition, it is categorized as an open-world survival game, a different genre compared to other MonHun mobile games. On the other hand, its overall gameplay and features are very similar to mainline Monster Hunter games. In fact, Outlanders looks like a mobile adaptation of the iconic Monster Hunter: World

Story

Monster Hunters

The exact story behind Monster Hunter Outlanders is still unclear. You will play as an outlander on an adventure that mostly involves hunting monsters. Based on other MonHun games, you can expect an intriguing story that unfolds as you go.

Gameplay

Monster Hunter Outlanders

The Monster Hunter Outlanders gameplay promises to be rich, versatile, and fun. It will overall combine open-world survival elements with classic Monster Hunter elements, which entail action, exploration, and crafting.

Outlanders will offer a unique exploration experience compared to all other MonHun games. The first Monster Hunter games featured worlds broken up into zones. In contrast, the most recent games feature interconnected environments. Monster Hunter Outlanders is an upgrade, as it features a fully open world that you can explore however you want.

The open world is vast and features diverse environments, including deserts, swamps, forests, and more. Players can paraglide to cover long distances over short times and take in the world’s beauty in the process. You can also climb up walls and swim through rivers. Notably, the game has outstanding graphics and sharp visuals despite being a mobile game.

You can engage in various activities across the open world. The game’s survival elements involve building bases and crafting gear. There is plenty of real estate for you to settle down and lots of resources to work with. However, the most exciting aspect is hunting monsters, which involves epic action.

Outlanders will feature a few familiar and many new monsters for you to hunt and fight. Some of the familiar monsters from previous MonHun games include Diablo, Rathian, Great Jagras, Odaragon, and Anjanath, among others. The new monsters showcased in the official trailer also look menacing. Interestingly, the monsters will sometimes mutate because of environmental radiation, giving them new abilities and creating new challenges for you to conquer.

The game’s combat system is versatile and epic. You can use diverse weapons to fight the monsters. Your arsenal includes various impressive weapons from previous MonHun games, such as dual blades, bow guns, and longswords. Moreover, the game will also introduce new weapons, as showcased in the official trailer.

Besides weapons, you can work with your new buddies in combat. The game introduces new buddies besides the classic furry felines. These new buddies provide combat support during battle, helping you take monsters down. Each buddy has unique skills that add depth to the combat system, giving you more combinations to work with.  Notably, you must also contend with certain environmental challenges in addition to fighting monsters. Fortunately, the buddies also have skills that help with exploration.

The game features two modes: single-player mode and co-op mode. The single-player mode lets you dive into the main storyline alone, hunting monsters and unraveling the story as you go. You can also explore the open world independently at your own pace without following set objectives. Alternatively, you can team up with up to three other players in the 4-player co-op mode. You can tackle quests together or form adventure teams to explore the open world together.

Notably, Monster Hunter Outlanders will be a free-to-play mobile game. Like most free-to-play games, it will feature microtransactions and seasonal events. However, it is not a cash-grab, considering the intense effort that has gone into the game’s development.

Development

Outlanders Development

Monster Hunter Outlanders is developed by Capcom and TiMi Studios. Notably, TiMi Studios is the developer behind several iconic mobile games, including Call of Duty Mobile, Pokemon Unite, and Age of Empires Mobile. The developer is thus expected to apply its expertise in mobile games to make Monster Hunter Outlanders one of the most ambitious MonHun mobile games.

Dong Huang, the studio’s producer, said the following during the game’s announcement: “It’s time for mobile players to fully enjoy what makes Monster Hunter one of the most beloved franchises in gaming. Monster Hunter Outlanders not only offers players an authentic hunting experience, but it does it in a massive open world featuring the community and social systems players are looking for today.”

Trailer

YouTube Video

The official trailer for Monster Hunter Outlanders features gameplay scenes showcasing the game’s best features. You can see the outlanders who you will be playing as the new buddies who will accompany you on your adventure, the monsters you will be hunting, and more.

The game’s open world looks beautiful in the official trailer. The scenes depict various environments, including lush forests, wetlands, and deserts. Notably, there appear to be monsters in every biome, setting the stage for relentless action. Various scenes depict diverse monsters, including the classic Diablo and Rathian and various new monsters. One of the scenes also showcases the monsters evolving. Fights with the monsters look thrilling, and various scenes showcase diverse weapons and skills.

Release Date, Platforms & Editions

Moster Hunter Outlanders

An exact release date for Monster Hunter Outlanders is yet to be decided. Notably, the game will be exclusively available on the iOS and Android mobile platforms.

3. Mindustry

YouTube Video

Mindustry is a captivating sandbox game blending factory-building and tower defense, offering players a unique mix of strategy and automation. It is a fact that winning a tower defense game gives thrilling satisfaction to the player. In Orcs Must Die! 3, it's undoubtedly beneficial for beginners to know the strategies to explore as they defend themselves against outraged, persistent enemies. Surrounded by mighty, magnificent castles, a player or players have intense moments tackling orc mobs. However, being a development of the previous version, Orcs Must Die 3 provides more weapons and upgrades to the player. Even better, the game allows you to replay each level however you like to correct your mistakes. We reveal some helpful tips for beginners to master this immersive combat game.

10. Attack Early

Orcs Must Die! 3

Early attacks on the enemy give the player ample time to take on as many orcs as possible. This game has a special feature that helps a player spawn the enemy’s path. Build on this feature and lay traps like ballista or barricades, among others, to help delay or kill some enemies. At the same time, the game allows players to deal swift attacks on the orcs as they appear, which will increase the chances of fighting them off in large numbers. Likewise, choosing a distant attack weapon such as the longbow, among others, will help defeat the monsters before they close up to a player.

9. Co-Op

Orcs Must Die! 3 Co-Op

A solo-win can be very rewarding to a person's ego. However, in Orcs Must Die 3, you are highly advised to cooperate with other players to triumph over the orc mobs easily. Furthermore, the game features a continuous flow of enemies with increasing abilities and numbers, especially in the endless mode. In addition, teamwork will allow players to tackle the enemy from different points because the orcs can appear from various directions. Therefore, unlike the single-player option, co-op allows players to make better strategies to conquer enemies.

8. Use Environmental Threats

hot lava to kill the orcs

In every level of Orcs Must Die! 3, players find hazards that may limit the orcs’ movements. Such environmental threats include acids, pools of lava, chandeliers, and rolling logs. The aim is to direct the cruel orcs into these hazards to save on upgrades, effort and time. Additionally, you can confuse the orcs with these threats through your movements or trigger them to kill the orcs.

7. Stay Close to the Rift

Orcs Must Die! 3

Rifts act as a magical source in Orcs Must Die 3. Every level has one rift in place. Players sticking close to the rift not only protects them but also the rift. The rift offers protection to the players through healing, thus restoring their strength. Likewise, the rift is protected by the players, as some enemies like Mr. Moneybags take away ten points each time they pass through the rift. In addition, the rift also helps in replenishing mana, which gives power in the game. Moreover, enemies passing near the rift gain speed, which will give them an advantage. Consequently, the enemies will also gain this speed from the rift when a player dies.

6. Keep Moving

Orcs Must Die! 3

You do not want to be overwhelmed by the massive, unforgiving orc groups. It is advisable to quickly change positions to stay out of the way of such mobs. Shifting will not only derail the enemy attacks but also buy little time for the player to strategize. Players also use movement as a tactic to lead enemies into traps across the map. Moving will also shelter you from unexpected attacks.

5. Check on Your Trap Placement

Orcs Must Die Weapons

Traps in the game refer to tools used by the players to slow down the enraged monsters or kill them, saving the players lives and efforts. These traps include flip traps, giant boulders, dark spitter, deep freeze, brimstone and barrier patches, among others. These traps have a die-out timer. Players must place them strategically to limit the enemies movements. An example is where barricades are placed many at once. The result is that they will all fade out at once. Instead of that, players can spread them out to build on their time difference.

4. Conserve Your Mana

Manna in Orc Must Die!

Mana is a power that helps players in Orcs Must Die 3 to throw spells or perform attacks. The mana in this game restores over time. However, you do not want to take advantage of the fact that they replenish, as you might be caught unawares by stronger enemies. In addition, subsequent attacks might demand more manna. Similarly, some weapons might require more manna during attacks.

3. Use the Mini-Map

Mini-Map Orcs Must Die

The mini-map is an important feature in Orcs Must Die! 3 that helps in communication between players in multiplayer mode. Players use the tool to see what the other player is doing and their location. In addition, one can gauge the condition of the other player to see whether they need backup. Players need to understand the colors used on the mini-map. Example: The white arrow points to the player, while the blue arrow points to the teammates locations. On the other hand, white dots refer to a normal enemy, while the white triangle shows a flying enemy. Overall, the mini-map is a central key feature in this game.

2. Study Your Weapons

weapons against orcs

Weapons in this game come with different abilities. One tip for beginners is to analyze and choose appropriate weapons before starting the game. Notably, weapons relatively work together with traps in Orcs Must Die! 3. An example is the magic longbow that has a slower response time and will demand more traps for it to be effective. Furthermore, weapons have varied impacts on enemies. An example is the wind belt, which is tiring when dealing with a group of enemies.

1. Study Your Enemies

horrifying orcs

Most importantly, understanding the endless horrifying enemies in Orcs Must Die! 3 will give beginners an upper hand in the game. Players are able to choose weapons in response to the type of enemies they might face. They range from easy, medium, and difficult orcs. Furthermore, players will find ranger and runner orcs in advance levels. Prioritize on attacking faster enemies and those that can attack from a distance.

Which of these beginner tips for Orcs Must Die! 3 do you find helpful? Let us know on our socials here or in the comments below.

Gibbing orcs and slaying ogres are just a few tasks you get to complete in the Orcs Must Die! 3 fantasy adventure games. However, unlike most fantasy games, Orcs Must Die! 3 spices up its gameplay with tower defense game mechanics. Like any normal tower defense game, the game sets up players with traps. The traps are designed to stop large hordes of enemies and allow players to fight through their enemies in third-person combat. In the article, we discuss the 10 best traps in Orcs Must Die! 3 that help you complete your mission.

10. Wall Blades

Wall Blades

Wall Blades is a wall trap unlocked in the Lunch Break level. They have a relatively small range but make up for it with a high damage output. The trap covers a range of approximately 1 square out from the trap’s position. With its fast attack, it can eliminate large groups of orcs. To maximize its fast attack, ensure there are as many enemies as possible in range when it activates. Wall Blades are an excellent choice for taking out orcs, ogres, and gnolls.

9. Brimstone

Brimstone

Brimstone is a floor damage trap designed to scorch enemies by inflicting a damage-over-time effect on those who dare to step on it. Its intense heat makes it particularly effective against small, fast enemies. However, after handling a wave of trampling orcs, the trap requires a brief reset period during which the coals cool down and no longer glow as brightly, signaling that it’s temporarily inactive.

Players can unlock and utilize the Brimstone trap starting in level 15, The Tower, where its utility shines in controlling large groups of enemies and protecting key defensive positions. Its blend of efficiency and versatility makes it a critical addition to any strategic setup.

8. Boom Barrel

YouTube Video

It is an explosive device that only detonates upon taking damage. It causes massive areas of effect damage. Players drop these explosives in small paths, then ignite them with a crossbow, blasting their enemies to bits. It’s an epic Orcs Must Die death trap. However, the use of the Boom Barrel requires a strategy since orcs can easily evade it. Your best play using this trap is waiting until a large group of orcs are gathered around it before pulling the trigger. The Boom Barrel is a great trap for killing ogres and gnoll hunters.

7. Confusion Flower

 Confusion Flower

Confusion Flower is a revered trap in Orcs Must Die! 3 due to its ability to disorient enemies. The trap releases a cloud of spores that distracts enemies for 3 seconds with a 12-second cooldown. Its effect makes enemies walk back toward the spawn portal from which they emerged. Moreover, you can upgrade the trap to increase the cloud radius, allowing you to disperse 100 enemies simultaneously. Players can acquire it with 6 skulls. However, players must max it out with skulls to maximize its power and harm flying enemies.

6. Gravity Pillar

Gravity Pillar

The Gravity Pillar is a great trap for destroying the large hordes of orcs heading toward you in the game. It stops enemies in their tracks while simultaneously dealing damage. The trap lifts all the enemies except bosses and smashes them into the ground, dealing 16 damage to every enemy. The trap can be accessed after the North Wing is completed. When you upgrade the trap, the duration your enemies remain suspended in their air increases. Players can easily deal with large groups of orcs effortlessly.

5. Flip Trap

Flip Trap

The trap is one of the pioneer traps in the game that continues to appear in every Orcs Must Die! game. It remains one of the best traps players can use to fight off large hordes of orcs. While it hardly damages enemies, the Flip Trap can launch huge groups of enemies toward deadlier traps. Common enemies are launched over 28 tiles, while bosses are launched only 2 tiles away. You can get the flip trap for 4 skulls. Moreover, upgrading this trap gives you a second cooldown and more power to flip large enemies and bosses.

4. Deep Freeze

Deep Freeze

The freeze effect relieves players from fighting large hoards of enemies by slowing the enemies down. It makes enemies take +30% more damage from Physical and Ice weapons. The effect allows players to destroy enemies with an AOE weapon or trap. Additionally, maxing out the Deep Freeze trap increases its damage potential by allowing it to deal Acid damage to enemies. You can create a trap combo using a Confusion Flower simultaneously with the Deep Freeze Trap. Place the Confusion Flowers before the Deep Freeze so enemies can pass through it again.

3. Haymaker

Haymaker

The Haymaker is a perfect trap if you enjoy watching orcs get thrown and knocked around. The trap is highly ranked as it has one of the shortest cooldowns of 10 seconds and an active duration of 4 seconds. Additionally, the trap deals 48 damage per second once you max its potential. Once triggered, the trap descends from the ceiling while spinning. It then knocks your enemies around, dealing physical damage in a 2-square-mile radius. You can acquire the trap for 5 Skulls.

2. Arrow Wall

Arrow Walls

As one of the best traps, the Arrow Wall is an amazing asset used continually throughout the game series. The trap deals 8 damage per arrow and continues to deal great damage even without upgrades. Essentially, a single volley will deal 288 damage to enemies that pass in front of it. When you max out the effects of this trap, the damage in each arrow increases to 12, increasing its damage. Your best play is to place several of them in a corridor with several Confusion Flowers or Deep Freeze traps.

1. Barricade

Barricade

Undoubtedly, the Barricade is the best trap in Orcs Must Die! 3. It gains popularity because upgrading the trap makes players invincible in battle. Once upgraded, it gains a huge hit-point pool of 250 enemies. The effect gives players plenty of time to clear out their enemies without them getting killed. Additionally, each upgrade increases its durability by a maximum of 33%. The final upgrade increases the size of the trap by two tiles, allowing only light enemies to pass through. When you get to the Hidden Dock level, you unlock it.
